Any gamification features must be (a) minimal and (b) opt-IN by the student-associate.

**Why:** The system's foundational identity is "aspiring professional." Gamification risks reframing the experience as "trick high schoolers into checking boxes" rather than building genuine professional habits and evidence. Even light gamification (streaks, badges) should not be the default experience.

**How to apply:** When proposing or building features, do not default to gamification as an engagement mechanism. If a gamification element comes up, flag that it should be opt-in and ask whether it serves the professional identity or undermines it. Engagement should come from the tool being genuinely useful, not from reward loops.
