Always use APEX elevated language in any content written for this project. Never use the generic school term.

| Generic term | APEX term |
|---|---|
| Student | Student-associate |
| Teacher | Instructor |
| Classroom (general) | Studio |
| Classroom (science/medical) | Lab |
| Classroom (construction/automotive) | Workshop |
| Class (group of students) | Team |
| Class (course you take) | Course |
| Field Trip / Visit | Tour |

**Why:** APEX deliberately uses professional/workplace language to reinforce the work-based learning culture. Using school language in portfolio content or playbooks undermines that.

**How to apply:** In artifact card briefs, playbook steps, explainer docs, UI copy — anywhere words appear that student-associates or instructors will read. Check before finishing any writing task.
